D-Block & S-te-Fan "The Best Of"
For nearly 20 years, I have had the privilege of creating visual designs for hardstyle duo D-Block & S-te-Fan. When they and Scantraxx approached me about their "The Best Of" (Hardstyle Since 2004) release, I conceptualized an art piece and vinyl box design.
Digital Collage - The project began with the creation of a digital collage, incorporating visual highlights (graphics, photos etc.) from the duo's illustrious two-decade career. This digital design served as the foundation for the subsequent stages of the project.
Physical Artwork - The digital design was then printed on canvas, transforming it into a tangible medium. To enhance its artistic value, I applied various physical elements, including acrylic paint, spray paint, tape, markers, resulting in a mixed media piece.
Vinyl Box Set - Using the completed physical artwork as inspiration, I developed designs for a vinyl box set. The artwork was digitally divided into 4 squares, each serving as the front cover for 1 of the 4 vinyl records in the set. I also designed the slipcase, labels etc.
Fan Engagement & Charitable Contribution - This concept allowed fans who purchased the limited edition vinyl records to reconstruct the original artwork at home and display it on their walls, creating both a collectible and an interactive experience.
The project will culminate in an auction* of the original physical art piece, with the proceeds donated to charity*. This event brings together artistic expression and charitable giving for a meaningful cause. *Further details will be shared soon.
